This is Jake, Fred Crowley's Golden Retriever.

Here is Jake, Crew Chief for Fred's '62 race Healey, demonstrating his vast knoweledge of race prepping Healeys. His specialty is ensuring that the right mix of Golden Retriever fur is inserted on the main engine bearings. Doing this correctly results in reduced friction and improved oil pressure (!).

In recognition of his contributions,
Jake was awarded a trophy for "Best Crew Dog"
at the 2002 Pittsburg Vintage Grand Prix.
